Buffet.In.Time.Esplanade: A Time-based Buffet Experience

Celebrating an occasion over a sumptuous meal has become a tradition in our family. Coz as they say, “the family that eats together, stays together.” So we make celebrations extra special by dining in different buffet restaurants in and out of the metro.

Since I was on a really tight budget this year (travel pa more!), I searched for an affordable buffet where I could treat my family without hurting my pocket.

Luckily, upon hundredths of clicks, I ended up on Buffet.In.Time.Esplanade’s Facebook page.

Location: 2nd Floor, JT Centrale. 1686 Fugoso and Huertas Sts. Sta.Cruz, Manila.

Opening Hours:
LUNCH: 11am to 2pm
DINNER: 6pm to 10pm2

Buffet.In.Time.Esplanade is the first of its kind that I have tried in my life (not sure if it’s the first in the country tho). I’ve been to a lot of eat-all-you-can restaurants but this one is really different!

Why? Because BITE is a time-based buffet where your payment will depend on the time that you spent in eating. So the faster you eat, the lesser the amount that you’ll pay.

Here are their time-based rates:

Follow these steps to achieve a promising experience at BITE:

STEP 1:Β Register at the counter, get your ID (indicating the number of persons and your starting time) and your plate and utensils tray.Β Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

You may now proceed to your designated table and start eating!22345320_10212672428359254_988623045_o

STEP 2:Β After your bountiful meal, proceed to the checkout counter with your tray (like a clean-as-you-go fast food resto abroad) and surrender your ID for the crew to be able to assess your bill.Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

STEP 3:Β Proceed to the cashier for the payment.5

BITE offers two categories (each with at least 10 kinds of dishes) for the main course, the Western and Asian section.

Aside from the main course, they also have a salad and pica-pica bar.

And of course the desserts section which offers different kinds of pastries, sweets, fruit salads and a halo-halo bar.

Desserts Station

They have a self-service water station but if you’re not satisfied with their drinking water, you can avail sodas and other drinks for an additional amount of Php 30 (choice of Coke, Coke Light, Royal, Sprite, Coke Zero and Pineapple Juice).

Just like other buffet restaurants, BITE has a treat for birthday celebrants too! When we were about to proceed to the checkout counter, the Happy Birthday song played and their staff brought me this birthdate cake. Thank you BITE! πŸ™‚

Overall, the food was good, the price was affordable, the place was nice and clean, and everything was really organized.

We spent only an hour so we just paid a thousand box for 5 pax! Really reasonable right?

You might think that a time-based buffet will just push you to eat fast but it won’t! We felt that we already spent more than an hour inside and I realized that time runs so slow when you are eating.

You might want to try them out too!Β For reservations, contact them atΒ 0950-500-0888.
