I’ve been travelling since 2012 but this is actually my first attempt to write a detailed travel itinerary so please bear with me. Lol.
SURIGAO DEL SUR – SAMAL – DAVAO TOUR 2018 (5D4N)
DAY 1: SURIGAO DEL SUR – Britania Group of Islands
Our first destination was the Britania Group of Islands located at San Agustin, Surigao Del Sur. We booked a flight going to Butuan because this is the nearest airport from San Agustin.
How to go to San Agustin (Britania Group of Islands) from Butuan:
- Ride a multicab from Bancasi (Butuan) Airport going to Butuan Integrated Bus Terminal- Php 25/each
- Take a bus with the “TANDAG” signboard and tell the bus conductor to drop you off at BRGY SALVACION JUNCTION/ BRITANIA JUNCTION. –Php 202/each (ordinary bus)
- From Brgy. Salvacion Junction, ride a habal-habal going to your accommodation. –Php 25/each
We arrived at Britania before 12NN (more than 2 hours earlier than the standard 2PM check in time) so we decided to get the only available room for early check in. Luckily they didn’t charge us with early check in fee.
Accommodation at Britania
Mac Arthur’s Place
- Standard (good for 2 pax)- 1,000/night
- Deluxe (good for 2 pax)- 1,200/night
- Additional person- 250/night
Our room is actually good for 2-5 persons. It has a/c, hot and cold shower, and cable TV. The room was clean and just right for its price. Breakfast for 2 pax was also included in the package. They served us 1pc hotdog, 1 sunny side up egg, 2 pcs danggit, 1 rice and coffee.
Island Hopping at Britania
I booked a boat from Kuya Romnick, a local from San Agustin, for our Britania Island hopping. Standard rate is 1,500 but because we are only 2 pax, he gave us a discounted price of 1,200. Fortunately, upon arrival at San Agustin, we met a group of 4 persons who wanted to share the boat with us. Kuya Romnick priced us the standard rate for there will be 6 of us on the boat. Tipid pa rin on our end! Hehe. Instead of 600 each, 250 each na lang! Thanks to that group who joined us that afternoon 🙂
