7 Cagayan de Oro City Tourist Spots Without Admission Fees

After 5 different cancelled flights because of the pandemic, we finally had a chance to travel again! And to kick off our revenge travel this 2022, we had a 6D5N DIY Tour in Cagayan de Oro, Camiguin and Bukidnon.

Our first destination was Cagayan de Oro. We actually didn’t have a fixed itinerary for that day because we wanted to relax early in preparation for our 3AM trip to Camiguin the next day. But luckily our hotel, Grand Central, was located near a lot of tourist spots so we decided to visit some of them.

Here are 7 Cagayan de Oro City tourist spots that you could visit without having to pay for an entrance fee:

1.Plaza Divisoria

2. Gaston Park

3. Ysalina Bridge

4. Duaw Kagayan Park

5. The Executive Building (Old City Hall)

6. St. Augustine Metropolitan Cathedral

7. City Museum of Cagayan de Oro

All of these tourist spots will only take you half a day to visit (or even less than half a day, depending on how long you take photos or videos. Hehe!). They are actually of close proximity to each other too so it’s very walkable. Just don’t forget to wear comfortable footwear. xD

I will post a short vlog of our CDO City Tour on my Youtube channel soon so watch out for that.

Btw, there are a lot of tourist attractions in the city. I just decided to feature the places mentioned above because those were the only spots that we visited. Plus the fact that they were all free admission. Definitely perfect for budgetarian travelers like me. 😛

If you’re planning to go on a vacation soon, don’t forget to book via KLOOK using my code ERICKASKLOOK to get 5% OFF on activities, attractions, and accommodations.
