REVIEW: TikTok viral product – Skintific Cover All Perfect Cushion SPF 35 PA++++

Many TikTok beauty influencers have been raving about the Skintific Cover All Perfect Cushion so I decided to try it out for myself.

It’s available in 7 shades – 01 Vanilla (for light cool undertones), 02 Ivory (light neutral undertones), 03 Petal (light to medium neutral undertones), 03A Almond (light to medium warm undertones), 04 Beige (medium neutral), 05 Sand (medium warm) and 06 Honey (medium to deep warm undertones).

Since I was not sure which shade would match my skin tone, I bought two of their warmest shades, 05 Sand and 06 Honey.

WHAT IT CLAIMS

THE PACKAGING

Upon unboxing the product, I was instantly stunned by its luxurious rose gold packaging. The double-mirrored compact looks elegant too. The quality looks durable and it’s not bulky, measuring 7.2cm x 2.2cm (radius and height respectively), which makes it ideal for traveling.

I like that it comes with a teardrop puff made with Rubycell Technology because this puff design can instantly absorb moisture which helps improve the coverage of the product and can also give a smooth finish. The foundation container itself is sealed with a sticker lid to avoid leaks and to keep the foundation from being contaminated.

Both the box and the compact itself have expiration dates so that’s a major green flag for me as well.

HAND SWATCH

Upon swatching, 05 Sand was the perfect match for me. 06 Honey is a bit darker but mixing it with 05 Sand still makes it a good match for my skin tone.

MY THOUGHTS

At first dab, I already noticed that this cushion foundation has medium to full coverage because it instantly covered some of my acne marks. I tried to apply it all over my face and it was definitely lightweight and easy to blend. My face feels hydrated and dewy but not that sticky too! It almost felt like I don’t have a foundation on so it’s safe to say that it’s truly comfortable to wear.

The Skintific cushion also covered up the darkness under my eyes I don’t even need to use concealer. It sets on its own too so you don’t need to fix it with powder. However, it did not do much in blurring the texture of my skin contrary to what other TikTok beauty creators experienced. I guess makeup products really have a different effect on different skin types.

Anyway, I did not use any powder to set the cushion to see if it would actually last for 12 hours.

This cushion is not fragrance-free nga pala. It has a very faint citrusy scent like that of a skincare product. Maybe this is because the foundation is infused with Centella, Ceramide, and Hyaluronic acid.

I also tried if it was transfer-proof by patting a tissue and I saw very minimal to no transfer at all. Just let it set for a minute or two, of course.

Due to poor lighting, you might not be able to notice significant changes, hehe. It still has a very light coverage naman after 10 hours. Not bad right? Better to put powder or use a setting spray to make it last longer.

CONS

• The foundation is hard to remove so you need to double cleanse with an oil-based makeup remover and facial wash. Not sure if this is a bad thing though? Hehe.
